Wausau, WI – October 9, 2010 –Nicolet Technical College Student Life Center is partnering with Samuels Group | Environments to hold a book drive from November 15th until December 17th to collect books for Frederick Place Homeless Shelter in Rhinelander.

Nicolet Technical College in Rhinelander will provide a red bookcase for donations of new or gently used books for both children and adults. This bookcase will be located inside the Student Life Center/Library entrance.

The book drive is part of a larger campaign sponsored by Herman Miller, a leading office furniture manufacturer based in Zeeland, Michigan. Samuels Group | Environments is one of several Herman Miller dealerships working with colleges and universities across the country to collect books for local nonprofit agencies.

“We want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of reading,” said Casey Nick, business development manager at Samuels Group | Environments. “These books will provide an invaluable experience to some very deserving children and adults alike.”

Samuels Group | Environments also has committed to collecting books in-house to get the book drive started and begin filling the bookcase prior to it arriving on campus. They are challenging their staff to donate at least one book.

“We want to deliver a truckload of books to Frederick Place and with the university’s help, as well as the help of the community, we’re confident we can accomplish that goal,” said Nick.
